Re: St. Lucie Unit I Docket No. 50-335 Proposed License Amendment Linear Heat Rate In accordance with IO CFR 50.90, Florida Power 8 Light Company (FPL) submits herewith three signed originals and forty copies of a request to amend Facility Operating License DPR-67.

The proposed amendment changes the allowable peak linear heat generation rate of St. Lucie Unit I Technical Specification 3.2.I, Figure 3.2-I, Allowable Peak Linear Heat Rate vs. Burnup, to l5 kw/ft for all axial elevations for all times in core life.

The proposed revision to the affected Technical Specification page is included as Attachment I. A Safety Evaluation in support of the proposed amendment is included as Attachment 2. A "Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration" is provided as Attachment 3.

The proposed amendment has been reviewed by the St. Lucie Facility Review Group and the Florida Power 8 Light Company Nuclear Review Board.

In accordance with IO CFR 50.9I(b)(l), a copy of the proposed amendment is being forwarded to the state designee for the State of Florida.
