The Region I Field Office, NRC Office of Investigations (OI), initiated an investigation (Case No. 1-2014-003) on November 22, 2013, to determine whether a contract health physics (HP) technician at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station deliberately circumvented HP requirements on October 3, 2013, and whether HP supervision at Susquehanna attempted to cover up the matter. Based upon documentary and testimonial evidence developed during the OI investigation, there was insufficient evidence developed for the NRC to substantiate either concern.
