Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS) Units 1, 2 and 3 Docket Nos. STN 50-528, 50-529, and 50-530 Response to Regulatory Issue Summary (RIS) 2014-13, PlannedLicensing Action Submittals for all Power Reactor Licensees

Dear Sirs:

Regulatory Issue Summary (RIS) 2014-13, Planned Licensing Action Submittals for all Power Reactor Licensees, dated December 17, 2014, requested licensees to provide information regarding the licensing actions that are planned to be submitted to the NRC staff for review over the next 3 calendar years and power uprate applications planned over the next 5 years.

The requested information is strictly voluntary. The NRC staff plans to use the information in allocating its resources for licensing reviews.

Arizona Public Service Company (APS) supports the objective of the RIS in promoting early communication with the NRC staff regarding planned licensing activities. Enclosure 1 of this letter is a listing of planned licensing actions over the next 3 years for the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS) Units 1, 2 and 3 and Enclosure 2 of this letter is the Annual Power Uprate Survey for PVNGS Units 1, 2 and 3.

APS requests that the contents of Enclosure 2 be withheld from public disclosure, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390. The NRC has waived the affidavit requirements on its own initiative, since the response to the survey contains business-sensitive information, the disclosure of which is likely to cause competitive harm and should, therefore, be classified as proprietary information.

These target dates are subject to change. Also, operational considerations may result in the addition of licensing actions that are not currently itemized in the enclosures.

As requested in RIS 2014-13, a copy of this letter and enclosures is being provided to Tracy Orf, Division of Operating Reactor Licensing, Technical Assistant.

No commitments are being made to the NRC by this letter. Should you need further information regarding this submittal, please contact me at (623) 393-5764.
