By letter dated February 29, 2008, OPPD provided its supplemental response to GL 2004-02 and committed to provide the GL 2004-02 close-out letter within 90 days of completion of the 2008 RFO. In order to provide an integrated package containing the final close-out letter and responses to the 36 RAI questions, OPPD is extending the original commitment to provide the GL 2004-02 close-out letter from within 90 days of the 2008 RFO to October 17, 2008. This was discussed via telephone with the NRC Project Manager and other NRC staff on September 3,2008. This extension allows time to obtain and coordinate the vendor responses to select RAI questions as well as time to facilitate internal OPPD reviews to ensure there are no inconsistencies between the RAI responses and the GL 2004-02 close-out letter.
