Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3 - Updated Inspection Plan and Assessment Follow-Up Letter 05000382/2024005, (ADAMS Accession No. ML24232A254), dated August 21, 2024 By letter dated August 21, 2024, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) determined the performance at Waterford Steam Electric Station (Waterford 3) was within the Regulatory Response column of the NRC's Action Matrix. This conclusion was based on the Performance Indicator (Pl) for Unplanned Scrams per 7000 Critical Hours having crossed the Green-to-White threshold in the Initiating Events cornerstone in the second quarter of 2024.

In the referenced letter, the NRC announced its intent to conduct a supplemental inspection using Inspection Procedure 95001, Supplemental Inspection Response to Action Matrix Column 2 (Regulatory Response) Inputs, following Waterford 3's notification of readiness. This letter serves as the notification of Waterford 3's readiness for the NRC to perform the supplemental inspection for this issue.
