i In accordance with Section 5.6.1 of the Clinton Power Station Technical Specifications, Illinois Power is submitting the Annual Occupational Radiation Exposure Report for the period of January 1,1997, through December 31,1997, for the Clinton Power Station. Attachment 1 provides the required data.

R_3part of Personnel and Man-Rem by Work and Job Function This report is a tabulation on an annual basis of the number of station, utility, and other personnel (including contractors) who received exposures greater than 100 mrem / year and their associated man-rem exposure according to work and job function.

The work and job function totals for personnel greater than 100 mrem / year are different than grand totals because an individual may perform work under more than one work and job function during the year.

The total man-rem is based on a ratio of the official TLD results.

Special Plant Maintenance performed in 1997 is as follows:

Radiation work permit 97001217 was for cutout and placement of 1RROAA and 1RR06AB (' A' and 'B' reactor recirculation seal leak offlines). The work included the cutting (grinding), preparation, and welding of the new assemblies. This was to replace the carbon steel piping with stainless steel piping per ECN 30237.

Radiation work permit 97001078 was for the installation of RF sy. em modification (LD028). This work included the installation of new leak detection equipment for the drywell floor drains. The work included mnning new stainless steel piping for the equipment and welding ofbrackets.
