Withdrawal of TSTF-517, Rev. 0, "Allowance for Non-TS Cooling /

Ventilation Systems Degradation on Support System Operability" The TSTF submitted TSTF-517, Rev. 0, "Allowance for Non-TS Cooling / Ventilation Systems Degradation on Support System Operability," to the NRC on October 28, 2009. On that same date, the TSTF also requested an exemption from NRC review fees for TSTF-517. The fee waiver was granted on December 10, 2009.

After further consideration, the TSTF has decided to withdraw the Traveler from NRC review.

We have determined that the methodology used to support the Traveler is not sufficiently rigorous to support the proposed changes and concluded that the methodology employed for Risk Informed Initiative 4b is better suited to this application. This is being pursued in a separate Traveler.
