The purpose of this letter is to provide Carolina Power & Light Company's semiannual groundwater monitoring report for the H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant. This report is submitted in accordance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit No. SC0002925, Part I.D.3, "Reporting Monitoring Results," effective October 1, 1997, and in accordance with South Carolina Regulation 61-9.122, "The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System." This report is required to be submitted by April 28, 2002.

The attachment to this letter provides the certificates of analyses in laboratory format, which contain the groundwater monitoring results. The results indicate that no monitored parameters were outside established norms for those parameters.
