No: IV-013-22 July 29, 2013 CONTACT: Lara Uselding (817) 200-1519 Victor Dricks (817) 200-1128 NRC Names New Resident Inspector at Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Raja Stroble as the new resident inspector at the Wolf Creek nuclear power plant located near Burlington, Kan.

Raja Strobles technical experience will assist the NRC in carrying out its mission to protect people and the environment by ensuring the safe operation of nuclear power plants, said NRC Region IV Administrator Arthur T. Howell.

In 2013, Stroble joined the NRCs Region IV office in Arlington, Texas, as a Project Engineer. Prior to joining the NRC, he was a Production Manager at RR Donnelley in Houston, TX. Stroble has served in the Navy onboard the submarine USS Cheyenne and in Iraq as an Iraqi Army, Police, and Border Patrol trainer. He holds a bachelors in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas.

Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant site has at least two NRC resident inspectors. Stroble joins senior resident inspector Charles Peabody. They serve as the agencys eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections, monitoring significant work projects, and interacting with plant workers and the public.
