By letter dated July 11, 2014 (Reference 1), PPL Susquehanna, LLC (PPL Susquehanna) submitted an Application for Approval of Indirect Transfer of Control of the Licenses for the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2 in accordance with Section 184 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, 10 CFR § 50.80, and 10 CFR § 72.50.

The NRC issued an Order approving the proposed indirect license transfer on April 10, 2015 (Reference 2). The Order, in part, required that "...after receipt of all required regulatory approvals of the proposed indirect transfer action Susquehanna Nuclear shall inform the Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation in writing of such receipt, and the date of closing of the transfer no later than 2 business days prior to the date of the closing of the indirect transfer."

On April 23, 2015, Lhe United States Department of Justice ("DOJ") notified PPL Corporation and Riverstone Holdings, LLC that it had closed its review under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of the proposed spinoff transaction involving A60i Document Control Desk PLA-7326 PPL Corporation's competitive generation business, including PPL Susquehanna. With the prior receipt of approvals from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the parties to the transaction now have the four primary regulatory approvals required to close the transaction.

Closing of the transaction is expected to occur during the second quarter of 2015. PPL Susquehanna will provide the date of closing at a later time, in accordance with the requirements of the NRC Order.
