SUMMARY

Unit 1 began the month of February operating at rated thermal power. Shift reduced load to approximately 885 GMWe (-2650 CMWT) on February 19 to perform a minor rod pattern adjustment. The unit was returned to rated thermal power on February 20. Shift reduced load to approximately 835 GMWe (-2480 CMWT) to perform CRD exercises, main turbine stop valve testing, and a minor rod pattern adjustment on February 26. The unit was returned to rated thermal power on February 27. Shift maintained unit operation at rated thermal power for the remainder of the month. There were no challenges to the safety relief valves.

SUMMARY

Unit 2 began the month of February operating at - 2700 CMWT with end of cycle coastdown in progress.

On February 04 with the unit at -2663 CMWt, the shift began a power reduction to allow the unit to begin its 18th refueling outage. The unit entered the 18th Refueling Outage when the Shift manually tripped the Main Turbine on February 05, after which a Main Turbine overspeed trip test was performed. Later that day, the shift inserted a manual scram to enter mode 3. Shift began fuel offload on February 10. The initial fuel offload was completed on February 12.

The Shift began core reload activities on February 25. Outage activities continued for the remainder of the month.

There were no challenges to the safety relief valves.
