NG-97 2008 f November 21,1997 Page 2 of 3 in the Reference 1 letter,IES Utilities submitted its request to convert the existing DAEC TS to the Improved Technical Specifications (ITS), based upon NUREG 1433. We hereby request to amend that application with the enclosed revision. Attachment I to this letter contains a summary listing of the changes by affected ITS Section and identifies the source of the change (i.e.,IES, NRC or Generic Traveler). As the DAEC tracks changes to the ITS submittal by Commeni Resolution Form (CRF) number, the enclosed pages are annotated with the corresponding CRF numbers, which are included in the Attachment I summary.

Per the Reference 2 agreement, only the marked-up pages for ITS Rev. A showing the changes for Rev. B cre enclosed. New clean, typed pages will be submitted to the Staff after all of our responses to the Staff s Requests for Additional Information (RAls) on the submittal have been closed. Any necessary revisions to the previously-submitted h justifications (i.e., Discussi( as of Change (DOCS), Justifications for Deviation (JFDs) or No Significant llazards Considerations (NSHCs) and marked up pages to the Current TS (CTS)) have also been included. Per our convention, we have included all the pages in the section where a DOC, JFD or NSilC has been revised; however, for the mark-ups of the CTS and ITS pages, we have included only replacements for the alTected pages. In addition, to support the changes in Allowable Values in the enclosed revision, the corresponding revised pages to the " bridge document" submitted in Reference 3 are also included.

Per the Staff's request, Attachment 2 is an update to the summary table provided in Reference 4, which reflects the final disposition from the September 9,1997 meeting with the Staff on the Allowed Outage Time (AOT) Notes added to the ITS.

This application has been reviewed by the DAEC Operations Committee and the Safety Committee. A copy of this submittal is being forwarded to our appointed state official pursuant to 10 CFR Section 50.91.
