NORTH ANNA POWER STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 AND SURRY POWER STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 - WITHDRAWAL OF AMENDMENT REQUEST TO UPDATE MAIN STEAM LINE BREAK ALTERNATIVE SOURCE TERM DOSE CONSEQUENCES ANALYSIS (EPID L-2025-LLA-0083)
Dear Mr. Carr:
By letter dated May 16, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25136A297), Virginia Electric and Power Company (VEPCO) submitted a license amendment request for the North Anna Power Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, and the Surry Power Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2. The proposed amendments would update the main steam line break (MSLB) alternate source term dose consequences analysis in the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report to address extended cooldown timelines that could result from a stagnant reactor coolant system loop following an MSLB.
By letter dated October 2, 2025 (ML25276A031), VEPCO requested to withdraw the amendment request. This letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendments had previously been published in the Federal Register on August 6, 2025 (90 FR 37895). A notice of withdrawal will be published and the project EPID will be closed.
