AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NO. 9382 FOR THE MODEL NO. TN EAGLE - ACCEPTANCE FOR REVIEW
Dear Doug Yates:
By letter dated July 11, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML24193A281, non-public), TN Americas LLC submitted an amendment request for certificate of compliance (CoC) No. 9382 for the Model No. TN Eagle spent fuel package.
Staff performed an acceptance review of your application to determine whether it contains sufficient technical information in scope and depth to allow the staff to complete a detailed technical review.
This letter is to advise you that, based on our acceptance review, the application contains sufficient technical information. We established a schedule for the technical review of your amendment request which allows for the staff to issue a possible request for additional information (RAI) by the second week of January 2025, and, if no additional information is needed, the CoC and safety evaluation report will be issued by July 31, 2025, based on you responding to the RAI by March 1, 2025. The staff estimates that completing the safety review of this application will require approximately 650 staff hours and $20,000 in contractor costs.
