OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY - ACCEPTANCE OF REQUEST FOR RENEWAL OF SNM-2013 (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER L-2021-NFR-0002)
Dear Mr. Harlan:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has received your submittal dated July 31, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number ML21235A325), requesting the renewal of Special Nuclear Material License SNM-2013.
We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID)
L-2021-NFR-0002. Please reference this number and Docket Number 70-7019 in any future correspondence associated with this request.
Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that could require you to provide additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by March 31, 2022. This schedule includes the issuance, if needed, of a request for additional information (RAI) by October 29, 2021, and receiving your response to the RAI 30 days after its issuance. Please note that these dates could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. Within 30 days after completion of the NRC staff review of your application/submittal, a notice will be published in the Federal Register to inform the general public of the NRC staffs decision regarding your submittal. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to the schedule. Since Oregon State is an educational institution, licensing fees are not directly billed to your organization. Staff expect that review of your renewal application will take approximately 300 hours0.00347 days <br />0.0833 hours <br />4.960317e-4 weeks <br />1.1415e-4 months <br />.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS.
