OF NOVEMBER 16, 2020, CLOSED MEETING WITH FRAMATOME AND THE U. S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION TO DISCUSS RADIOLOGICAL - INCREASED BURNUP (EPID: L-2020-TOP-0052)
On November 16, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed teleconference meeting via Microsoft Teams with representatives from Framatome Inc.
(Framatome). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss radiological treatment of fuel fragmentation relocation and dispersal (FFRD), impact of increased burnup, and statistical approach to radiological analyses. The meeting was noticed on November 4, 2020, and is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20309B009.
During the closed meeting, Framatome representatives and NRC staff discussed Framatomes presentations on Background Information, Source Term, Regulatory Guides and Increased Burnup, FFRD, Statistical Dose, Summary, and next steps for future interactions.
