- MEMORANDUM FOR:
Roger A. Fortuna, Deputy Director Office of Investigations:
FROM:
Robert G. Marsh, Director Office of Investigations Field Office, Region V
SUBJECT:
TRANSAMERICA DELAVAL (CASE NO. 5-84 008) l The enclosed memorandum of analysis is submitted for your review. There appears, from the nature of the information known at this time, that an investigation is warranted and that violations may have occurred which would fall under several different investigative jurisdictions.
Due to the nature of the apparent violations, I elected to keep this investigation open. This decision was made even though this matter has been categorized by the NRC staff as being of a. low priority; and there have.not
- been investigative resources available to work on this matter for over six months. Further, there appears to be no relief in sight for having the resources available to conduct this investigation within the next six months or beyond.
I respectfully submit that consideration be given to referring this~ matter to another investigative organization that would have jurisdiction over investigating and possibly prosecuting any criminal violations that can be established.
