REFERRAL OF INVESTIGATION REGARDING TRANSAMERICA DELAVAL, INC., (TDI) (Case No.: 5-84-008) I l

01:HQ concurs with your proposal to refer the investigation of this matter to  !

another investigative organization with appropriate jurisdiction. Accordingly, l as we telephonically discussed ori July 14,15, and 16,1987, the enclosed I supporting documentation is returned to you to be provided to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). I have also enclosed a copy of the inspection report with attached cover letter dated June 14, 1985, reporting the inspection of TDI performed by the Brookhaven National Laboratory and the NRC Vendor i Programs Branch which was not previously furnished to OI:RV. Additionally, 1 ]

have enclosed copies of the complaint filed against TDI by the Long Island 4 Lighting Company (LILCO) on August 30, 1985, LILC0's first discovery request dated September 13, 1985, and LILCO's second amended complaint filed in early 19P7 against TDI and Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation. I reconmend that the FBI coordinate directly with the NRC Office of General Counsel i i

(Charles E. Mullins, FTS: 634-3224) for additional information and documen-tation. It is to be noted that the discovery process in the civil suit is ongoing and NRC personnel will be testifying. 3
