With respect to the alteration of counting time, HAMPTON stated:

1.

The Canberra Computer Program was set up for 2000 second counts to assure compliance with Rancho Seco's Technical Specification on Lower Limits of Detection (LLD).

HAMPTON assumed the 1000 second count was brought about as a result of a LLD study which showed yo's could count for 1000 seconds and still rheet Rancho Seco's Technical Specification LLD.

3.

HAMPTON received instructions on the 1000 second count from his supervisor but he doesn't recall instructions on 1000 second count being procedura11 zed.
