Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Proposed Operating License Change Request No. 142 Gentlemen:

Enclosed are:

One (1) original and thirty-seven (37) copies of an Application for Amendment to our Operating License to revise the reactor coolant system pressure isolation valve specification 3.4.6.3 to reflect the commitments stated in our response to Generic Letter 87-06 dated June 10, 1987.

Table 4.4-3 has been revised to include additional pressure isolation valves which perform an important pressure isolation function in accordance with the guidelines provided in the generic letter.

Also included are proposed changes to the LCO, Action and surveillance requirements. similar to those stated in the BV-2 technical specifications.

This change has been reviewed by the OSC.and ORC and determined to be safe and does not involve an unreviewed safety question.

Thirty-eight (38) copies of documents designated Attachments A,

B and C which set forth the changes in Technical Specifications, the safety analysis and the no significant hazards evaluation.

A check in the amount of $150.00 is attached as payment of the license amendment application fee in accordance with 10 CFR 170.
