LESSONS LEARNED GROUP FOR SEQUOYAF'
'i.EAS E This is in response to your memo requesting comments or concurrence in the appointment of Douglas Collins, of my staff, to the Lessons Learned Group. We in Region II are fully supportive of this effort and look forward to improvements that. may result from such a Group.
As you know, in the cast Region.II has t
supported such lessons Learned Groups, including J.
P.
Stohr's recent participation in the Contaminated Mexican Steel Lessons Learned Group.
Unfortunately, at this time there are other active health and safety issues within Region II that require Mr. Collins' personal management attention.
In that we sincerely wish to support this effort, we offer as an alternative Mr. William Cline, Chief of the Radiclogical Effluents and Chemistry Section, formerly Chief of the Emergency Preparedness Section. As we viewed the makeup of the Group, his background would seem to round it out quite nicely in the apparent technical areas of interest.
J. P. Stohr of this office discussed this on January 28, with R. Cunningham who agreed the substitution would be acceptable.
