AUDIT OF MARCH 6-12, 1975 KERR-McGEE NUCLEAR CORPORATION LICENSE iSNM_1174 The.two items referenced in your July 24, 1975, letter, as you described as having insu.fficient actions to achieve full com-pliance, are explained in more deta.11 below.

License Condition 3.9.14 This license condition-states that no packages or containers shall be permitted into the Material Access Area.

This does not occur.

The Material Access Area boundary begins at the' rear exit / entrance to the locker rooms.

Since the, handbags are carried only to the locker rooms, they~ therefore, do not enter the MAA.

License Condition 3.9.16 This condition is confusing because it' assumes that search devices are at the entry to the Material Access Area.

The l

locker rooms are between the MAA boundary and the search devices.

l This license condition must be clarified ~to conform to this excep-tion.

A revision wi11.be requested.

This revision has been discussed with the Licensing Office in Washington, and they have indicated acceptance.
