Former Employee Concern about Quality Verification of Vendor Supplied Equipment Recently, a former employee expressed a concern to us about the adherence to vendor quality requirements for safety-related switchgear provided by Gould.
The specific issue involved improper changes to the engineering specification by the Superintendent of Construction, who was not technically qualified in the area, and failure to verify fastener torque as required by the vendor.
We request that you investigate this matter, and provide us with the results of your investigation and any proposed corrective action which is necessary within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
