SECY-83-256 - FINAL RULE ON IMMEDIATE NOTIFICATION OF SIGNIFICANT EVENTS AT NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS This respcnds to Comissioner Gilinsky's July 25, 1983 memorandum on the above subject.

The staff does not propose to consolidate the various regulations mentioned in your remorandum. Instead, the staff intends to make conforming amendments to achieve consistent phrasing, terminology, and reporting thresholds.

The status of the conforming amendments are:
