AUDIT PLAN FOR ERRATA TO FRAMATOME TOPICAL REPORT BAW-10241PA, REVISION 1, BHTP DNB CORRELATION APPLIED WITH LYNXT TOPICAL REPORT PROJECT NO. 728 (EPID L-2020-TOP-0038)
1.0 BACKGROUND
By letter dated June 30, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access Management System Package Accession No. ML20188A238), Framatome submitted a request for review and approval of Errata to Topical Report (TR) BAW-10241(P)(A), Revision 1, BHTP DNB Correlation Applied with LYNXT Topical Report, a TR which details minor changes to BAW-10241PA, Revision 1.
The proposed audit will be held in accordance with Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) procedure as described in Office Instruction LIC-500, Topical Report Process, and LIC-111, Regulatory Audits.
2.0 REGULATORY AUDIT BASES Regulatory guidance for the review of fuel system materials and designs and adherence to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Appendix A to Part 50, General Design Criteria (GDC)-10, Reactor Design, GDC-27, Combined Reactivity Control Systems Capability, and GDC-35, Emergency Core Cooling, is provided in NUREG-0800, Standard Review Plan for the Review of Safety Analysis Reports for Nuclear Power Plants (SRP), Section 4.2, Fuel System Design.
3.0 REGULATORY AUDIT SCOPE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff will conduct a three-day audit online.
This audit is expected to include one day to perform an Audit for Understanding (as discussed in LIC-500) with the NRC staff and Framatome staff, one day for the NRC staff to begin drafting their safety evaluation (SE), and one day for NRC staff and Framatome staff to review the preliminary open items from that SE.
The NRC staff would like Framatome to make available the appropriate engineer(s) with intimate knowledge of BAW-10241PA, Revision 1, Errata, as well as the original BAW-10241PA, Revision 1, document and any appropriate references, to address any comprehension questions by the NRC staff.
4.0 INFORMATION NEEDS Framatome is requested to have staff available to respond to NRC staffs questions and documents referenced in the TR should also be made available.

- Day 1 - Audit for Understanding - NRC staff and Framatome
- Day 2 - Safety Evaluation Writing - NRC staff
- Day 3 - Preliminary Open Item Discussion - NRC staff and Framatome Framatome should provide details for using an online platform which supports video call for the performing the audit (e.g., Skype, WebEx) or confirm that they are able to use the platform that can be provided by the NRC (i.e., Skype).
7.0 DELIVERABLES A regulatory audit summary will be provided within 90 days of the completion of the audit.
