FINAL SAFETY EVALUATION FOR ERRATA TO FRAMATOME TOPICAL REPORT BAW-10241PA, REVISION 1, "BHTP DNB CORRELATION APPLIED WITH LYNXT TOPICAL REPORT" (EPID L-2020-TOP-0038)
Dear Mr. Peters:
By letter dated June 30, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML20188A238), Framatome Inc. (Framatome) submitted Errata to Topical Report (TR) BAW-10241PA, Revision 1, "BHTP DNB Correlation Applied with LYNXT Topical Report," to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for review and approval.
By letter dated September 2, 2020 (ADAMS Package Accession No. ML20238B946), an NRC staff draft safety evaluation (SE) regarding our approval of Errata to Framatome TR BAW-10241PA, Revision 1, was provided for your review and comment. Gayle Elliot in email dated September 10, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20259A247), stated in part that there were no comments on the draft SE and no additional proprietary information than what was marked by NRC staff.
The NRC staff has found that Errata to TR BAW-10241PA, Revision, 1 is acceptable for referencing in licensing applications for nuclear power plants to the extent specified and under the limitations delineated in the TR and in the enclosed final SE. The final SE defines the basis for our acceptance of the TR.
Our acceptance applies only to material provided in the subject TR. We do not intend to repeat our review of the acceptable material described in the TR. When the TR appears as a reference in licensing applications, our review will ensure that the material presented applies to the specific plant involved. License amendment requests that deviate from this TR will be subject to a plant-specific review in accordance with applicable review standards.

OFFICIAL USE ONLY - PROPRIETARY INFORMATION OFFICIAL USE ONLY - PROPRIETARY INFORMATION In accordance with the guidance provided on the NRC website, we request that Framatome publish approved proprietary and non-proprietary versions of Errata to TR BAW-10241PA, Revision 1, within three months of receipt of this letter. The approved versions shall incorporate this letter and the enclosed final SE after the title page. For non-proprietary versions, Framatome shall strike the proprietary information markings in this letter and make the appropriate redactions and adjustments to document security classifications to the attached SE.
The approved versions shall include a "-A" (designating approved) following the TR identification symbol.
If future changes to the NRCs regulatory requirements affect the acceptability of this TR, Framatome will be expected to revise the TR appropriately or justify its continued applicability for subsequent referencing. Licensees referencing this TR would be expected to justify its continued applicability or evaluate their plant using the revised TR.
