Dear We received your letter dated January 11,
1995, in regard to the counting of filtered and unfiltered samples collected in and around Wingfoot Lake. First, the information Mr. Snell provided to you was based on information he received directly from the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (0 RISE), and therefore factual to the best of his knowledge at the time he provided it.
The information )rovided changed in each case as a result of Mr. Snell following up witi 0 RISE to ensure that what we had been told was indeed correct.
In doing this, twice the information we received changed.
In both cases, we immediately passed this new information on to you. As we stated in our January 26, 1995 letter to you, we apologize for any co'nfusion this may i
have caused.
Second, this is to let you know we are responding to your request to obtain copies of all data records related to the counting and analysis of samp' -
collected pertinent to the Goodyear Wingfoot site. We are currently in.he process of acquiring and copying these records from both ORISE and our Regional files.
