EQ wire was installed in several limitorque MOVs.
After successful post-maintenance testing the

'A' Containment Spray system were removed from service. This placed the plant in two 30 day LCOs.
Several Limitorque MOVs had their internal wiring changed out to comply with EQ Stan dar ds.

A new gear-was or dere d an d the valve was dec l ar e d technically Inoperable, although the valve was fully demonstrated to be functional-on 8-13-86 and again on 8-18-86 The valve was in Its normal stan dby st,atus until 8-27-86 when the valve was removed from service for installation of a new motor pinion gear.which was Installed in the correct orientation with respect to the motor.
Investigation revea le d approximately one-ha l f of the motor pinion gear teeth were meshing with the motor drive Intermediate gear.
This did not have any effect on its post-maintenance testing stroke time requirements. The valve
'A' Containment Spray System was then returned to its normal standby status at 1712 hours0.0198 days <br />0.476 hours <br />0.00283 weeks <br />6.51416e-4 months <br /> on 8-27-86 This terminated the 30 day LCO.
It should be noted that this was the first time a motor pinion gear has ha d to be replaced at DAEC en d no other-Incorrect' installations are suspected to be present In the plant.
8-20-86 At 1425 hours0.0165 days <br />0.396 hours <br />0.00236 weeks <br />5.422125e-4 months <br /> a7 day LCO was entered when both Drywell ra di at ion monitor alr samplers were dec l a r e d inoperable when the low flow Ilghts were received in the control room.

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE 8-29-86 At 0950 hours0.011 days <br />0.264 hours <br />0.00157 weeks <br />3.61475e-4 months <br /> power was re du c ed to approximately 60% to allow maintenance personnel to enter the steam tunnel for MSly limit switch maintenance.
The limit switch relay arm was a dj u s t e d and the valve passed post-maintenance testing requirements.
8-30-86 At-0524 hours a 7 day LCO was entered when the
'A' Stan dby Gas Treatment' System was removed from service when It was not ice d that the
'A' carbon bed inlet temperature i n dicator had failed do w n s c a l e. Two resistors were replace d in the Indicator an d the system returned to service at 1345 hours0.0156 days <br />0.374 hours <br />0.00222 weeks <br />5.117725e-4 months <br /> on 8-31-86 thus terminating the LCO.
8-31-86 At the en d of the month the DAEC was in normal power operation with 475 MWe(net) being provided to the grld.
Throughout the month of August the DAEC was power limited (243 hours0.00281 days <br />0.0675 hours <br />4.017857e-4 weeks <br />9.24615e-5 months <br /> requiring an approximate 55 re duction in power) due to high ambient temperatures which resulted in con den ser vacuum limits.
