SUMMARY

REPORT ON THE DETAILED CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW Our contractor, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), has completed the review of your Summary Report on the Detailed Control Room Design Peview (DCRDR) and has provided the results of its review in the enclosed Technical Evaluation Report (TER). We have reviewed the TER and concur with the findings, guidance and recommendations in the report.

A number of concerns were identified that remain to be addressed. These are outlined in the conclusions section of the attached TER. We propose to discuss these concerns as well as any human factors concerns identified from our review of your July 3,1986 Action Plan for Performance Improvement and the December 26, 1985 overcooling transient. We will contact you in the near future to arrange for the meeting.
