11. The Manager, Technical Support, shall have a B. S. degree in engineering, science, or equivalent and at least 8 years of power plant experience, 1 year of which shall 'ls be in nuclear power plants. ,I I

12. The Radiation Protection Manager shall have the minimum qualifications for a Radiation Protection Manager as specified in Regulatory Guide 1.8, Revision 1-R, l

! September 1975, "Personnel Selection and Training." He shall either have the ',

minimum 5 years' required professional experience in applied radiation protection s l or shall have a member on his staff who does have this experience. ,p ll I

'I 13. The fuel assemblies shall be stored in such a manner that water would drain freely .I

14. The following administrative controls shall be used to control spacing between I i

fuel assemblies stored in the spent fuel pool storage racks: j

a. The individual conducting new fuel loadings shall verify correct assembly j location after insertion of each new fuel assembly into the assigned storage 3 rack. lg

insertion by a secund individual participating in fuel storage operations. .l

! c. A loading check shall be conducted by CPSES Results Engineering after each )

shipment of fuel is off-loaded into assigned storage locations. 'n I

' 15. Fuel assemblies, when stored in their shipping containers, shall be limited to

  • lt arrays containing no more than 40 shipping containers, j
16. There shall be a minimum edge-to-edge distance of 12 feet plus a minimum thickness l

! of 24 inches concrete between the shipping container storage array and all other 4 l fuel assembly storage arrays. .

Material of Low Strategic Significance at Comanche Peak Electric Station" shall be fully implemented by the date of fuel receipt and shall be in effect whenever j fresh fuel is stored on site. ;g
