The. Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.84 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-54 for.the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station. This
- amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications -(TSs) in
~
. response to your application dated December 18,1984,' as revised April 26, 1985, supplemented May 22, 1985, and superseded October 30,,1985.
7 This amendment revises the'TSs by establishing limiting conditions for
. operation based on the Spent Fuel Pool (SFP) water temperature.
It includes requirements for use of the. Decay Heat Removal' System as an alternate / supple-mental SFP cooling means when SFP temperatures reach.specified limits.
A copy of our Safety Evaluation is also enclosed.- Notice of Issuance will be include'd in the Comission's biweekly Federal Register notice.
