l Thank you for your letter of March 13, 1986, expressing your support for the scheduling of prehearing conferences and hearings in the New Hampshire seacoast area, for the Seabrook operating license proceeding.
With respect to the location of any prehearing conferences or hearings,
the Commission's regulation 10 C.F.R. 6 2.703(b) provides that "the time and place of hearing will be fixed with due regard for the convenience of the parties or their representatives, the nature of the proceeding, and the public interest."
The Commission is sensitive to the public's interest in attending and participating in public meetings and hearings concerning appli-cations for licenses within its jurisdiction.
You may expect that in exercising its discretion in selecting a location for future prehearing conferences and hearings on the Seabrook application, the Licensing Board will continue to give due consideration to the interest expressed by persons in the New 11ampshire seacoast communities, to widch your letter refers.
