. I received the subject SECY for review yesterday (6/24). NRR has requested immediate tumeround as their due date to the Commission was accelerated to 6/30/98.
I reviewed the paper last night. There are no resource issues and I am told that this rulemaking (and its estimated resources) have been reflected in the latest version of the Rulemaking Activity Plan. I recommend OCFO concurrence (at the branch chief level) subject to the following changes.
o Page 3 of the SECY paper- replace the last paragraph with the following:
" RESOURCES:
Resources to develop and implement this rulemaking are budgeted at a total of less than 2 FTE (1.5 FTE from NRR and 0.16 FTE from other offices)."
Delete the remainder of that paragraph. If necessary, move the last sentence (i.e.," Copies have also been forwarded to ACRS and the IG for information.") to the coordination paragraph on page 4. It is not necessary to state that the paper has been forwarded to the CFO (vice Controller).
