g Quad Cities Station Security Plan NRC Docket Nos. 50-254 & 50-265 TAC Nos. 65386/65387 Enclosed is the original and three (3) copies of Revision 41 of the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station Security Plan.
This aubmittal ider'tifies the imp!matation of e new state-of-the-art security computer system. This new system sahancas the security systems reliability, data retention and operator interface. The functional redundancy of this new system allows for the removal of all references a pre-existing backup systems that are no longer needed.
With the implementation of the new system, compensatory measures for the failure of the security computers have been revised to correlate with the functional redundancy of the system.
Pursuant to 10CFR 50.54(p), the signed original and three copies of the Security Plan revisions are being provided to your officc. A copy of this letter and two copies of the Security Plan revisions are being sent to Region 111.
We Fave concluded that these changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the Safeguards Plan. These enclosures contain Safeguards Information which must be protected frem public disclosure pursuant to 10CFR 73.21.
