Quad Cities Nuclear Power Stations Units 1 and 2 Quad Cities Station Security Plan NRC Docket Nos. 50-254 & 50-265 TAC Nos. 65386/65387 Enclosed are the original and three (3) copies of Revision 34 of the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station Security Plan. This revision identifies the generic security changes being implemented at Commonwealth Edison's six (6) nuclear generating stations. These changes allow for the implementation of our watchmen program and have been approved as 50.54(p) changes in LaSalle's Nuclear Station Security Plan, revision 49 and 50. The attached also provides a technical evaluation of the " limbo system".
In addition, the following changes are being submitted:
Appendix B The model of shotgun is being changed from 870 to 1187.
The ability to use simulated equipment i.e.,
handgun and radio, when performing the agility test.
Pursuant to 10CFR 50.54(p),the signed original and three copies of the security plan revisions are being provided to your office. A copy of this letter and two copies of the security plan revisions are being sent to Region lit.
We have concluded that these changes do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the plan. These enclosures contain Safeguards information which must be protected from public aisclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 73.21.
