Quad Cities Nuclear Power Stations Units 1 and 2 Quad Cities Station Security Plan NRC Docket Nos. S0-254 & 50-265 TAC Nos. 65386/65387 Enclosed are the original and three (3) copies of Revision 33 of the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station Security Plan.
This Revision addresses the following issues.
1)
Closing of the spray canal due to environmental relief.
2)
Eliminates Gate B1 as a point of perimeter protected area entry and exit.
3)
Updates the current station organizational structure as it applies to the security department.
4)
Defines the perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) 5)
Eliminates the color coding of security badges to indicate employment relationship.
6)
Adds a Duress-Signal switch to the receiving warehouse control booth.
Pursuant to 10CFR 50.4, the signed original and three copies of the security plan revisions are being provided to your office.
A copy of this letter and two copies of the security plan revisions are being sent to Region III.
We have concluded that these changes do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the plan.
These enclosures contain Safeguards information which must be protected from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 73.21.
