This refers to the routine safety inspection by Messrs. W. Bateman and
J. Wechselberger from March 3 - April 13, 1986 at the Oyster Creek Nuclear
Generating Station and the GPUN Corporate offices in Parsippany, NJ and the
, Region based inspection by Mr. W. Baunack from March 24-27 and April 2-4, 1986
at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. The inspections consisted of
,
document reviews, interviews and observations of activities as documented in
'
the enclosed inspection report. The findings were discussed with you and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection and with Mr. P. Czaya
of Technical Functions Division subsequent to the inspection.
1 Apparent violations of NRC requirements are cited in Appendix A and categorized
under the NRC Enforcement Policy 10 CFR 2 Appendix C (49 FR 8583, March 8,1984).
A reply is required and should be prepared in accordance with Appendix A.
We acknowledge receipt of your April 3,1986 response to the violation cited
in inspection report 86-02. Your corrective actions will be verified in a
future inspection.
The responses directed by this letter and the accompanying Notice are not sub-
ject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as
required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
