As requested, the Office of the Chief Financial Officer has reviewed the commission paper entitled, " Final Rule - Requirements for Initial Operator Licensing Examinations" for resource implications.

Page 4-- Change "The FY 1998 and FY 1999 budgets" to "The FY 1998, FY 1999 and FY 2000 budgets" in the 3rd paragraph. [This clarifies that the current budget has already reflected the savings.]

2.

Page 5--Add ", within the current budget." to the end of the 1st paragraph under RESOURCES.

[This clarifies that staff expects to satisfy needs within the current level of resources.]
