OFFICE REVIEW AND CONCURRENCE: ON A FINAL RULE, INITIAL LICENSED OPERATOR EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS, AMENDMENTS TO 10 CFR 55 The Office of the Chief Information Officer has reviewed the subject final rule and concurs in it.
However, the rule is being placed un hold because of the addition of section 55.49 which contains a new information collection requirement that was not approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) at the proposed rule stage. Consequently, this will result in a j burden increase to licensees. Please complete and submit the attached NRC Form 670, j "Information Required for Making an insignificant Burden Determination," which solicits j information about the significance of the change and whether or not the information collection is controversial, so that we may submit it and the rulemaking to OMB for an expedited review, we will apprise you of OMB's decision and whether or not a complete OMB review and approval are 1 required. At that time, we will also inform you of any changes to the " Paperwork Reduction Act Statement" that may be necessary.
