FORT ST VRAIN, DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATION REPORT FOR FUEL TEST-ASSEMBLY-2 (TAC N0. 62026)

By letters dated July 18 and September 11, 1986, the Public Service Company of Colorado (PSC), the licensee for the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station, submitted the results of the destructive examination of Fuel Test Assembly-2.

This sutrittal was in partial fulfillment of PSC's connitment in the Fort St.

Vrain fuel surveillance program as described in Amendment 48 to Facility Operating License DPR-34. Additional information was submitted en May 2, 1988.

The staff reviewed the submitted information in the context of the Fort St.

Vrain fuel surveillance program. The staff concludes that the results of the destructive fuel testing, demonstrated that the fuel assembly graphite and the fuel have performed within the design limits for 483 Effective Full Power Days (EFPD)ofexposure. This provides assurance that the fuel assembly will coctinue to perform well and within design limits to the end of its design lifetime of 1,800 EFPDs.
