dated April 20, 2020 By letter dated June 4, 2020 (Reference I above), Ameren Missouri (Union Electric Co.) submitted a request for temporary exemption from the requirements of IO CFR Part 73, Appendix B,Section VI Subsection E. I .(f), "Weapons range activities on a nominal 4-month periodicity." The request explains why the regulation cannot be met at Callaway Plant as a result of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency (PHE), in light of the fact that certain Callaway activities Enclosure to this letter contains sensitive information.

Withhold from public disclosure under 10 CFR 2.390(a)(4).

Upon removal of Enclosure, this letter is uncontrolled.

ULNRC-06587 June 17, 2020 Page 2 of 4 have been postponed due to isolation actions and activities (for example, social distancing, group size limitations, self-quarantining, and the possibility of isolating required station personnel to protect and maintain necessary staffing levels). The request explained that site-specific COVID-19 PHE training requalification controls would be maintained consistent with those outlined in the NRC's Enforcement Guidance Memorandum (EGM) and its attachments, identified as Reference 2 in this letter. Details concerning Ameren Missouri's exemption request were provided in the enclosure of Reference 1.

Following submittal of Ameren Missouri's exemption request, a telephone call was conducted with NRC staff personnel on June 15, 2020 to clarify aspects of the request, mainly in regard to conformance with the guidance provided in the NRC letter dated April 20, 2020 (identified as Reference 3 in this letter) that was issued to provide information about licensee requests for exemption from Part 73, Appendix B,Section VI requirements and the NRC's process for reviewing such requests during the current COVID-19 PHE. While the intent of Ameren Missouri's request was to conform to the guidance of that letter, it was noted that the request did not refer to it. Further, it was agreed that there is an item provided in the Reference 3 letter not specifically addressed in Ameren Missouri's request.

This supplement to Ameren Missouri's Reference 1 request is being submitted to provide the additional information needed to fully conform the request to the guidance provided in the Reference 3 letter, particularly in regard to the guidance provided in Enclosure E of that letter. The additional information is provided in the enclosure to this letter.

This letter does not contain new commitments.
