Evaluation of November 21, 1985 Loss of Power and Water Hammer Event, San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1, March 2, 1986 Provided as an enclosure to this letter is SCE's report documenting the results of our investigations to date, into the November 21, 1985 Water Hammer Event at San Onofre Unit 1.
This report describes the SCE post-event investigations, the conclusions of those investigations and the corrective actions that are being implemented as a result of the investigations.
In addition, the enclosed report specifically responds to the information requested from NRR and I&E in Reference 1 and to the information requested from Region V in Enclosure 2 to Reference 2.
Cross references between the individual information requests and the appropriate sections of the report are included in Appendix A.

This supplementary response will also include the results of our ongoing evaluations of swing check valves in the plant as discussed in Enclosure 5 to Reference 4.
