Docket No. 50-206 Floor Response Spectra for the Reactor and Turbine Buildings SEP Topic 111-6, Seismic Design Considerations San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 As part of the long term service seismic reevaluation program at San Onofre Unit 1, new floor response spectra were developed for the reactor and turbine buildings.
The methodology and results of this effort have been discussed with the NRC and its consultants in several meetings over the past year.
Provided as Enclosure 1 is the following report which documents this effort:
Generation of Floor Response Spectra For The Reactor and Turbine Buildings, San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station - Unit 1, Long Term Service Seismic Reevaluation Program, March 1986.
Recently, the response spectra in the mezzanine of the north extension of the turbine building were regenerated to reflect the overall strengthening of this structure. This strengthening was a result of the elimination of inelastic beams in this structure. The resulting new response spectra are discussed in Enclosure 2:
