Inspection No. 50-219/88-06
This refers to the routine safety inspection of activities authorized by NRC
License No. OPR-16 conducted by Mr. C. Amato and other inspectors of this
office on February 22-26, 1988 at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Electric Generating
Station, Forked River, New Jersey, and to discussion of these findings by
Mr. Amato with you at the conclusion of the inspection.
The areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel and observations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of the inspection, it appears that certain of your activities
were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements, as set forth in
the Notice of Violation enclosed with this letter as Appendix A.
You are
required to rerpend to this Notice of Violation within thirty days of the date
of this letter.
The response directed by this letter and the accompanying Notice of Violation
is not subect to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and
Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
