On November 10, 1994, Phillip J. ALBRECHT, Quality Assurance Manager /
3 Purchasing Agent, RADIAN CORPORATION (RADIAN), Morton Grove, . Illinois, was interviewed by NRC:01 Investigators Richard C. Paul and Joseph M. Ulie at Morton Grove, Illinois.- At ALBRECHT's request Paul J. HELMER, President of Paul J. Krez Company, appeared as his personal representative.

t ALBRECHT said he has been employed at RADIAN since 1967. ALBRECHT com-mented that RADIAN has been an approved DOW CORNING distributor of DOW CORNING 3-6548 Silicone Foam to the nuclear industry since 1980.
i- ALBRECHT said RADIAN j is a distributor of DOW CORNING to the nuclear industry and not a power appli-cator, and RADIAN does not provide installation or any other services for the material.

- ALBRECHT remarked that 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B, QA requirements
- have been imposed on RADIAN regarding the sale of the DOW CORNING silicone i foam on a case-by-case basis by the nuclear industry. ALBRECHT commented ,
} that RADIAN is a conduit between the manufacturer, DOW CORNING, and the ~
4 final customer for technical information. '
