TAC NUMBER 53702 By letter dated November 7,1983 and October 1981, you responded to the NRC staff position on the subject identified above. Your responses provided details of the program for classifying all safety-related components other than Reactor Trip System (RTS) components. The program assures that documents and information handling systems that are used to control plant activities that may affect these components identify the components as safety-related.
The NRC staff with the assistance of it's contractor, Idaho National
, Engineering Laboratory, has complet.d the review of your submittals. We have concluded that your program addrasses our concerns regarding equipment classification and is acceptable. The details and basis for our conclusion are provided in the enclosed safety ovaluation.
This completes our action related to Generic Letter 83-28 Item 2.2.1. By letter dated May 4,1988 we requested additional information necessary to complete our review of Item 2.2.2. Therefore the above referenced TAC nu.'oer remains open.
