CRITERIA FOR WRITING FIELD CHANGE NOTICES (FCNS)

A. Unless modified to suit special situations, with the opproval of the Project Engineer (E&C) or the Manager, Station Technical (NGS) (and consistent with applicable Footnotes in Exhibits of the DRADM), the FCN shall be R written for the following purposes on!y:

To make minor changes to o design document or to provide clarification to documents in order to satisfy their original design criteria. Minor changes are defined os:

1. Chonging termination details which do rot change the elementary or one-line diagrams.
2. Adding clorification notes to o drawing which do not change the design.
3. Providirq construction notes which will not change the design.
4. Making incidental dimensional changes to resolve interferences which do not require a change to the piping stress analyses or structural onalyses.

5. Revising drowirys identifying occeptoble design tolerances, not requiring revision of design calculations. l
6. Revising weld details to accommodate constructability which do not require the revision of engineering design calculations.
7. Non-Sofety Related setpoint changes, required to be consistent with a configuration, which do not revise engineering design calculations, Updated Final Sofety Analysis Report (UFSAR) requirements or Technical R Specificatims.
8. Reptocing components certifled by the supplier os being equivalent replacements.

9. Correcting the circuit and raceway schedule to ensure ogreement with other design documents such as physical loyout drawings, one-line dicgrams or elementory dio roms.
10. For Sofety-Related Systems when the design changes correct a clearly identified nonconformance dispositioned "repair" or "v2-as-is" on FORM 37-22, Nonconformance Report (NCR), and that do not fall into any category identified in Section B of this Exhibit. The NCR number shall be noted on the FCN.
