Background:
As the result of an NRC interoffice task force review of the Commission's regulations, it was determined that minor corrections and clarifying changes were needed in 10 CFR Part 20 and also in Parts 32, 35, 36, and 39 to bring these parts into conformity. Members of the task force included staff from the Offices of Analysis and Evaluation of Operational Data, Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, Nuclear Reh 'or Regulation, and Nuclear Regulatory Research. This proposed rule would make the minor corrections and clarifying changes to the NRC's regulations that were identified by the task force.
