AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. DPR-39, ZION NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT 1 (TAC NO.: 66315) f The Consission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.108 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-39 for the Zion Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1.

The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application transmitted by letter dated September 22, 1987, modified by letter i

dated October 27, 1987.

This amendment involves the one-time alteration of the allowable snubber inspection periods. Unit 1 inspection will be delayed by approximately 30 days. These alterations will prevent a forced shutdown of Zion Unit 1.

A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is enclosed. A Notice of Issuance will be included in the Connission's next regular bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
