The area examined ' uring' this inspection was your program for protecting d

against industrial sabotage and safeguarding special nuclear material pursuant to applicable provisions of 10 CFR 50, " Licensing of Production and Utilization Facilities"; Part 73, " Physical Protection of Plants and

Materials"; and specific requriements of NRC License No. DPR-46. Within this area, the inspection consisted of selective examinations by the

inspectors and review of the Physical Protection Plan for the Cooper
.
Nuclear Station, Revision 6.
Within the scope of this inspection one infraction in the physical security

protection for your plant was observed, as set forth in the Notice of
Violation, enclosed with this letter.
This notice is sent to you pursuant

to the provisions of Section 2.201 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part l
2 Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. Section 2.201 requires you to submit to this office, within 20 days of your receipt of this notice, a written statement or explanation in reply including:
